We are pleased to present you with another Planning and Zoning Law update which contains summaries of recent court and appeal tribunal decisions.
We would like to direct your attention to a decision of Ramat Gan’s Local Planning Committee from April 29, 2019 in which the Committee passed a resolution stating that compared to individual buildings it would give priority to the advancement of urban renewal compounds in accordance with the National Outline Plan 38 over stand-alone buildings. The decision has far reaching significance for the city and it may be a harbinger of similar planning decisions in other cities across Israel.
We also would like to update you that a mediation agreement was signed between the Municipality of Tel Aviv and between various tenants in quarters in the east and south of the city following legal proceedings and a complex mediation process. The mediation concerned the renewal terms of the lease agreements with the Municipality. The outcome of the mediation impacts the tenants who were not parties to the mediation process as well lease agreements with the Municipality of Tel Aviv.
