In this legal update we review two recent class action court decisions:
In the Shemen Oil and Gas Resources case, the District Court in Tel Aviv-Yafo reviewed the factors that a court must take into account when appointing a replacement representative attorney in a class action proceeding.
In the Siroga-Barnir case, the Supreme Court considered the defenses available to public authorities under the Class Actions Law.
As we have done in the past, at the end of our review we will highlight the main points to take away from the cases.
