Recently the Israeli Law Technology and Information Authority published a guideline regarding the interpretation and the application of the Protection of Privacy Law 5741-1981 on the matter of direct mailing and direct mailing services. The guideline is meant to clarify how the Authority interprets the Protection of Privacy Law for the purpose of the exercise of its own powers and for the purpose of clarifying to the public its rights in this context.
